Hello All,
Here's a rundown on some of the hotel options in Campinas. Exchange rate is currently 2.45 Reais per US dollar;(
Top on my list is....
The Cambui Hotel - Rua Major Solon 353, CAmbui, Campinas, SP 13024-090 ph. 011 55 19 3255 0133 - www.cambuihotel.com.br - Talk to Douglas, the manager and ask for the "casamento" rate for Brian and Priscila. It's in Cambui near a nice park and has the best rate. R$ 90.00 double
The Newport Hotel - Rua Santos Dumont 291, ph. 011 55 19 3754 8000- Same company as Cambui Hotel. It's a little nicer with a lobby and piano music in the evening. Talk to Douglas, the manager and ask for the "casamento" rate for Brian and Priscila. It's in Cambui near everything. R$120.00 double.
The Royal Palm Residence and Tower,(two hotels close to each other) Rua Conceicao 450, ph. 011 55 19 3731 4200, Rua Boaventura do Amaral 1274, ph. 1274, 011 55 19 3731 5900 - These are probably the nicest hotels in Campinas. The Towers is a new hotel built right on Carlos Gomez park. I haven't stayed there but it's nice and in a great location. I stayed the Residence and it was great. It's also very close the the park. A double is R190 + 5% + R1.80 per night at the Towers and the Residences is R$157.00 with the same taxes.
